Following the title of best rookie of the season in the Production World Championship, the Red Bull Rally Team pilot, Bernardo Sousa, gave an interview to the www.wrc.com site, where he analysed this first season in the World Championship and gave his perspective on how he would like the following one to be. Remember that Bernardo Sousa terminated this first season in the P-WRC in 9th position, an excellent result for a first-timer on demanding World tracks, which offers great prospects for 2009.

Bernardo Sousa was the best rookie and finishes the season amongst the Top Ten in the World
Bernardo Sousa closed his first season in the Production World Rally Championship today, with the statute of best rookie. In the British Rally, the last race on the calendar, the Red Bull Rally Team pilot once again fulfilled his objective of finishing the race, this time in 9th place in Production in general.

Bernardo Sousa returns to the track tomorrow in Super Rally
After a first peaceful day, today a mechanical problem in the Mitsubishi Lancer Evo IX forced the Red Bull Rally team pilot to give up during the start-up of the second “special” of the day. Bernardo Sousa starts competing again in the British Rally tomorrow, but this time in Super Rally.
A mechanical problem in the gear box forced the Madeiran pilot, Bernardo Sousa, to withdraw at the start of the second section against the clock today when he was in 8th place in Production in general. After solving the problem that caused him to withdraw, the Red Bull Rally team pilot will return to the competition tomorrow, in what is the last race of the Production World Rally Championship (P-WRC), but this time in the Super Rally.

Heavy rain and a slippery surface in the first stage of the British Rally
On the first day of the British Rally, the last race in the Production World Rally Championship that took place under very difficult weather conditions, Bernardo Sousa showed all his talent by climbing up section by section in the rankings
On a day of very adverse weather conditions, where the ice on the road actually forced the cancellation of two of the day’s eight sections against the clock, Bernardo Sousa had no problems and ended the day amongst the Top Ten Production teams and in 26th place overall. The Red Bull Rally Team pilot, who was racing for the first time in Production World Rallies (P-WRC), is now the best Portuguese pilot in the race.
